I visited the Denver and Cleveland areas this past summer and had an opportunity to take some great photos for my collection. It was fun capturing these particular butterflies in action. Their photos came out much better than I had anticipated.

New Year! New Camera! New photos! And some re-organizing....

A few weeks after my last post (in July, I know...) I purchased a Canon PowerShot A2300 IS, a camera for someone on a budget. It works pretty well but I am still getting used to using it. Haven't had that many opportunities to indulge in my hobby since I moved to Delaware. Texas was the last place I really got to test out the camera but I got some great results!

I regret to inform you all that my camera passed away about two months ago....

YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!

Investment Time!

I will most likely be purchasing a Canon Powershot A2300 sometime soon. Hopefully. In the meantime I have been improvising with the camera on my phone, which has worked to some extent.

I have many more photographs than these. I'm just too embarrassed to upload them. To me, these are my "best" photographs that I have taken so far. I won't be traveling for sometime so gallery additions will be pretty stagnant I'm afraid.

I also forgot to mention that I have had no formal training for photography...if that wasn't already obvious.

Hi everybody! I'm Lady of the Shire! I am an amateur photographer (to put it nicely) who has actually been stalking Deviant Art for YEARS! Just didn't think my crappy work was worth being with so many wonderful art pieces I have seen! But finally, my computer was getting full with so many pics. SO I thought..."why not just start an account for God's sake!"

Yeah, so believe it or not I took (100%) of these photos with a old 6324 ViviCam Digital Camera that I have had since high school. I'm talking OLD (6.0 Mega Pixels and 3X optical zoom). So I've had to become...creative with getting the shots I want. Very creative...

But, I still learn more about the camera every time I use it. Nonetheless, I am looking to upgrade...soon. I just need a little something called MONEY!!!
